Job summary

West London NHS Trust is offering a CYP IAPT training post within CAMHS, integrating trainees into children and young people’s mental health services. You will undertake CBT training, supervise treatment planning, and collaborate with schools and families.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, safeguarding, and multi-disciplinary collaboration, with a focus on developing competencies in CBT-informed interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum second-class bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology, social work).
• A Core profession as recognised by the BABCP or 3+ years relevant experience with a KSA portfolio.
• Evidence of BABCP knowledge and potential for condensed KSA submission.
• Must sign up for BABCP student membership on accepting the post.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for suitability for the treatment modality provided.
• Make decisions on suitability of new referrals per departmental protocols.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
• Involve parents/carers and schools as appropriate.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and maintain service records.
