Job summary

Linde AMT UK Limited is seeking a technically skilled technician to prepare cylinders and drums, ensuring quality and safety in line with production schedules. You will inspect, test, replace valves, wash and leak-test equipment while maintaining accurate records and supporting waste management at the site.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and basic maths/english; an FLT licence is preferable.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to perform preparation and testing of cylinders and drums.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• GCSE/Functional skills in Maths and English required.
• FLT licence is preferable for driving and vehicle handling.
• Demonstrates integrity and behaviours aligned with an inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• You will prepare cylinders and drums in line with production schedules, ensuring products meet quality, safety and customer requirements
• You will inspect, test and prepare cylinders and drums, including valve replacement, washing, drying and leak testing
• You will conduct statutory testing activities, assessing results and determining whether equipment meets required standards
• You will safely manage disposal of toxic, corrosive and flammable gases, selecting appropriate methods to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements
• You will maintain accurate technical records and documentation, supporting traceability, compliance and operational excellence across the site
• You will conduct routine inspections and maintenance of disposal and treatment equipment while supporting effective waste management practices
