Cybersecurity Manager Job Description

As the Cybersecurity Manager, it will be your responsibility to establish guidelines and ensure that everyone in the company is aware of their respective roles in IT security. You will know how to handle conflicts that arise between security considerations and the need for commercial delivery.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing, upholding, and executing security standards
2. Collaborating with employees and stakeholders to promote a security-conscious culture
3. Creating instructional materials for ongoing security training
4. Providing daily guidance on security issues across the company
5. Working with our SOC to maintain detection models and response procedures
6. Coordinating with MSSP for penetration testing and vulnerability scans
7. Creating security guidelines for infrastructure, operations, and development
8. Assisting with internal and external IT security audits
9. Ensuring security is considered during architectural design
10. Conducting tabletop security drills
11. Meeting compliance and due diligence expectations of capacity providers and auditors
12. Scheduling and coordinating disaster recovery exercises

While not mandatory, prior insurance experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of:

• Implementing IT security procedures in financial services and understanding related risk management
• Cloud security, especially Azure native technologies
• Secure development practices and tools
• Security testing methods such as phishing campaigns and tabletop simulations
• Security audit standards in financial services
