Searchability in Cheltenham, UK is seeking a Vulnerability Researcher to join a specialist security team. You will investigate complex software, systems and devices to identify vulnerabilities and understand exploitation techniques across OS internals and low-level software.

This hybrid role requires active DV clearance and offers a competitive package with 25 days holiday, pension, bonus and ongoing training, plus relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

THE VULNERABILITY RESEARCHER ROLE

As a Vulnerability Researcher, you will investigate complex software, systems and devices to identify vulnerabilities and understand how they can be exploited. You will work across areas including reverse engineering, operating system internals, exploitation techniques and low-level software analysis.

Depending on your background, you may also work with network protocols, mobile platforms, embedded systems and hardware debugging.

VULNERABILITY RESEARCHER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra
• Knowledge of vulnerability research, bug hunting or ethical hacking
• Understanding of exploitation techniques and mitigations
• Knowledge of Linux and operating system internals
• Familiarity with C or C++
