Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Cyber Threat Operations specialist within the Active Defence Incident Response Team to counter cyber threats. You will support the Active Defence Incident Response Manager with threat hunting, detection engineering and analysis in a dynamic security environment.

The role involves working with UK SOC teammates, utilizing SIEM, network tools, and ML/behavioral analytics to monitor and respond to escalating threats across the UK network perimeter.

Qualifications

• Career background in Cyber Security with focus on network security, infrastructure or OS/applications.
• Experience with threat hunting, detection engineering and incident response activities.
• Familiarity with YARA and Sigma rulesets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive Threat Hunting in collaboration with the CTI function.
• Lead Threat Detection Engineering efforts with ISR functions.
• Assist with maintenance of security technologies.
• Support the Cyber Eng Team with project activity.
• Assist Incident responders with HR and InfoSec investigations.
• Attend routine security meetings.
