Job summary

Pinsent Masons LLP in the UK is seeking a Cyber and Technology Disputes Associate with 1-4 years PQE to join its market-leading international team. The role focuses on cyber, contractual technology disputes and data privacy litigation across a global network of clients.

You will handle pre-breach advisory, incident response, regulatory investigations, and high-profile technology disputes, collaborating with cross‑office teams.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience advising on cyber matters, including cyber insurance.
• Experience in technically complex litigation preferred.
• Strong commitment to business development and client relationship building.
• Awareness of data protection regulatory changes and applicable law.
• English law qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-breach: advise clients with cyber simulations, incident response planning and cyber training.
• Breach: manage cyber security incidents end-to-end, including breach response coordination and communications.
• Regulatory: handle regulatory investigations with regulators (ICO, FCA etc.).
• Cyber/privacy litigation: manage disputes involving cyber and data/privacy matters.
• Technology litigation: handle IT issues such as software licensing, outsourcing, and IT projects.
• Business development: contribute to client development and win cyber work from clients.
