Job summary

Roke in Romsey, UK, is seeking an experienced software analyst to join its national security team. You will work on analysis and reverse engineering of code, using tools like Ghidra or IDA Pro, and contribute to secure software development within modern IDEs and Agile practices.

Responsibilities include researching threats, prototyping tools for mission-led programmes, and advising customers as a trusted technical advisor.

Qualifications

• Experience in software analysis and reverse engineering.
• Familiar with Linux-based OS internals and security architecture.
• Experience with virtualization, emulation, and containerization.
• Experience deploying AI-based systems for development or analysis.
• Experience delivering software from design to delivery in modern IDEs and Agile.
• Experience with automated verification, CI/CD pipelines.
• DV clearance eligibility required.

Salary: £37,000 - 77,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for experience in software analysis and reverse engineering of compiled or interpreted code, including work with obfuscated or defensively structured code using tools such as Ghidra or IDA Pro.
• We are looking for knowledge of Linux-based operating system internals, security architecture, and hardware abstraction.
• We are looking for experience using virtualisation, emulation, and containerisation for accelerated development, automated testing, and DevOps.
• We are looking for experience using and deploying AI-based systems for software development, analysis, or agentic solutions.
• We are looking for experience engineering software from design to delivery in modern IDEs and languages, using Agile delivery.
• We are looking for experience creating tested and testable code and integrating with automated verification systems, CI, and CD pipelines.
• We require you to hold or be eligible and willing to achieve DV clearance.

Responsibilities:
