Job summary

Intact Insurance is hiring a Cyber Engineering Specialist to coordinate with Cyber Operations, Security Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, and partners to deliver secure engineering outcomes.

You’ll translate security requirements into practical engineering actions, review designs for cyber risk, and help implement cyber controls across enterprise environments while collaborating with multiple technical teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cyber security engineering principles and secure operational practices across large tech environments.
• Ability to translate security requirements into practical engineering actions.
• Experience advising on solution design, implementation options, sequencing and risks.
• Familiarity with security standards and governance (e.g., NIST, CIS).
• Experience across domains such as identity, endpoint, server, network, cloud, data security.
• Ability to coordinate work across multiple technical teams and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert cyber engineering advice to projects, programmes and change initiatives, helping teams understand and meet security requirements in a practical and achievable way.
• Review proposed solutions, designs and delivery plans to identify cyber engineering requirements, dependencies, risks and implementation considerations.
• Translate security standards, patterns and control objectives into clear actions, technical guidance and delivery outcomes for project and operational teams.
• Coordinate the engagement of the appropriate Cyber Engineering resources where additional expertise, implementation support or specialist input is required.
• Support the implementation of cyber controls and engineering improvements across infrastructure, cloud, platforms, identity, endpoint, server and network domains as applicable.
