Job summary

Intact Insurance UK is transforming its cyber defence capabilities, driving continuous improvement across tooling and processes. The role focuses on reducing manual effort through automation, improving response speed, and aligning security activities with evolving threat landscapes and business needs.

You’ll work in a hybrid model, collaborating with security, engineering and risk teams to deliver scalable, data-driven security capabilities while maintaining resilience across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cyber defence domains including vulnerability management, exposure management, SOC operations and threat intelligence.
• Experience with security tooling such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM, EDR, identity security and attack surface management platforms.
• Proven capability in automation using workflows, scripting or orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of system integration patterns, APIs and data flows across security platforms.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks such as CTEM, NIST or similar cyber security standards.
• Understanding of secure architecture principles and secure by design approaches.

Responsibilities

• Defining and delivering a roadmap for continuous improvement across cyber defence tooling and operational processes.
• Identifing inefficiencies and implement automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency and speed of response.
• Embedding best practice frameworks and modern approaches, including exposure management, attack surface reduction and shift left principles.
• Establishing metrics to track operational performance, efficiency gains and risk reduction outcomes.
