Job description

  • Excellent opportunity for an experienced Cyber Resilience Analyst to join a well-established UK organisation investing heavily in cyber security, business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Permanent, full-time position based in Chester with hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week onsite).
  • Ideal for candidates with experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery or Incident Response who have commercial experience using Rubrik.
Who is the client?

Our client is a well-established UK organisation with a strong focus on cyber security, operational resilience and business continuity. As they continue to strengthen their cyber capabilities, they're looking to appoint a Cyber Resilience Analyst who can help develop, maintain and continuously improve their resilience strategy across the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative technology function where you'll work alongside Infrastructure, Security and Business teams to ensure critical services remain resilient and recoverable in the event of cyber incidents or major outages.

What will you be doing?

This is a governance-focused Cyber Resilience role, responsible for ensuring the organisation is prepared to respond to and recover from cyber incidents.

You'll take ownership of Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery documentation and Incident Response processes, working closely with technical teams to understand critical services, recovery priorities and business impact.

A key part of the role will involve working with the organisation's Rubrik platform, helping to ensure backup and recovery capabilities support the wider cyber resilience strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Supporting Incident Response planning and continuous improvement activities.
  • Working with Infrastructure and Security teams to understand recovery capabilities and critical service dependencies.
  • Coordinating Disaster Recovery testing, resilience exercises and tabletop scenarios.
  • Reviewing recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) and ensuring they align with business requirements.
  • Producing policies, playbooks, procedures and resilience documentation.
  • Supporting post-incident reviews and implementing lessons learned.
  • Building strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business.
What will you bring to the role?

We're looking for someone who has experience within Cyber Resilience, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity or Incident Response and enjoys improving organisational resilience rather than working in a purely hands-on infrastructure position.

Essential skills:
  • Commercial experience working with Rubrik.
  • Previous experience within Cyber Resilience, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity or Incident Response.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation and report writing abilities.
  • Good understanding of enterprise IT environments and technology recovery principles.
  • VMware.
  • Windows Server.
  • ISO 22301, ISO 27001 or NIST frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating resilience testing or disaster recovery exercises.
  • Hybrid working (minimum 2 days onsite in Chester).
  • Opportunity to shape cyber resilience across a large enterprise environment.
  • Work alongside experienced Cyber Security and Infrastructure teams.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
