Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT team in the North East on a hybrid/office basis. You will protect systems, infrastructure and data, monitor threats, and coordinate incident response.

Experience with firewalls, SIEM, EDR, Microsoft Defender, and Azure security, plus risk management and governance, is required. Certifications such as CISSP/CCSP/SC- series are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Cyber Security or Security Engineering role.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security technologies including firewalls, SIEM, EDR, Defender and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience securing Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with security incident response and risk management.
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft SC-200, AZ-500, SC-100, or ISC² SSCP, CCSP, or CISSP.

Contract: Permanent | Full-time (37 hours)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing IT team, responsible for protecting business systems, infrastructure, and data. This role will support security operations, strengthen cyber resilience, and ensure security best practices are embedded across the organisation.
