Job summary

Anson McCade Pty is seeking a software engineer to join a cyber security business building next-generation hardware and software solutions that protect critical networks. You’ll work with an expert engineering team to design and develop secure network devices used across defence, national security, energy and the public sector, with in-house technology and a focus on software quality and security.

Key tasks include designing, developing and improving software for advanced network security

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in software engineering.
• Experience with modern C++ and STL, or Rust.
• Experience with Python.
• Exposure to Linux, bare-metal or RTOS.
• Willingness to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software for advanced network security products.
• Write clean, reliable and testable code using modern software development practices.
• Collaborate with engineers through pair programming, group programming and TDD.
• Contribute to the development of new products and enhancing existing solutions.
• Work across embedded systems, Linux, networking and cloud apps.
• Share ideas and drive continuous improvement across the engineering team.
