Job summary

Softcat is seeking a Cyber Security Senior Alliance Manager to shape and lead strategic partnerships within the silver vendor tier. You will act as deputy to the Alliances Lead, guiding alliance Managers and driving growth across your technology tower.

You will own vendor performance, leverage market insights and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver commercial outcomes. A proactive, people-focused leader with 3–5 years in alliances will thrive in our collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in alliances, partnerships, or vendor management
• Strong commercial awareness including rebates, incentives and programme structures
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and competing priorities simultaneously; confident in senior stakeholder conversations
• Collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching and developing others

Responsibilities

• Own the direction and performance of silver tier vendors within your technology tower
• Support the Alliances Lead with prioritisation, decision-making and execution of the tower strategy
• Use vendor, market, pipeline and performance insight to identify opportunities and risks
• Drive consistent execution of partnership activity across multiple vendors

Lead strategic vendor partnerships and alliances

The Cyber Security Senior Alliance Manager role blends ownership, oversight, and leadership, with a primary focus on the management and evolution of the silver vendor tier, as well as leadership and direction for a group of Alliance Managers. This role requires a proactive, self-starting individual who can identify what needs to be done, create momentum without waiting for direction, and take ownership through to outcome. You will act as a trusted deputy to the Alliances Lead, supporting strategic execution, leading complex vendor engagement, and ensuring the effective operation of the vendor ecosystem across your tech tower.

As Cyber Security Senior Alliance Manager, you'll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Alliances Lead with prioritisation, decision‑making and execution of the tower strategy
• Using vendor, market, pipeline and performance insight to identify opportunities and risks
• Driving consistent execution of partnership activity across multiple vendors
• Providing line management, coaching and best practice direction to Alliance Managers
