Job summary

Castle Employment Agency Ltd is seeking an IT Security Analyst to protect systems, data and operations in a collaborative IT environment in the East Yorkshire area. The role emphasizes hands-on security work, threat monitoring and incident response.

You will work with infrastructure and technical teams to strengthen cyber resilience, implement secure configurations and align with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks, while driving security improvements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cyber security role with hands-on security work.
• Strong understanding of threat detection, security principles and risk-based thinking.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, EDR/XDR/MDR and vulnerability management tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance.
• Ability to investigate incidents and communicate findings clearly.
• Fast-paced environment with strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, develop and optimise SIEM and threat detection systems.
• Investigate security incidents, coordinate response and containment.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and support remediation across the IT estate.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to implement secure configurations.
• Support and maintain security policies, procedures and controls.
• Align security practices with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Deliver phishing simulations and security awareness training.
• Stay updated on threats and propose security improvements.
• Support disaster recovery, backup and data protection strategies.
