Job summary

YTL UK is offering a Cyber Security Apprentice role designed to protect IT, OT, and cloud environments. You will monitor, investigate, and document security events under mentor guidance, gaining hands-on experience with security tools and incident handling.

The 19–20 month apprenticeship covers security knowledge development, risk awareness, and collaboration with IT teams, with formal training through Ginger Nut Training.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for Level 3 Cyber Security Apprenticeship
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above required
• Demonstrable interest in IT and cybersecurity desirable
• Willingness to learn how to use security tools and technologies
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with others across different teams

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and look for anything unusual.
• Review security alerts with guidance from the team.
• Report security issues to senior team members when needed.
• Keep clear records of activities and actions taken.
• Learn how organisations protect their systems and respond to security incidents.
