Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Cyber Security Manager (Operations) to lead day-to-day security in our UK Head Office and across the business. You will monitor threats, respond to incidents, and work with internal teams and partners to maintain a secure environment for our systems and customer data.

You’ll manage security operations, optimise tools, produce actionable reports, and support broader security programmes.

More about the role

We’re investing in our Cyber Security team and now looking for a Cyber Security Manager (Operations). In this role, you’ll lead the day to day operational security function monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and maintaining a strong and secure environment for Morrisons’ systems and customer data.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading security operations, including threat monitoring and incident response
• Working closely with internal teams and third party partners to ensure effective controls are in place
• Managing and optimising operational tools and technologies
• Producing reports on security events, trends, and response actions
• Supporting wider security programmes and continuous improvement initiatives

Success looks like:

• Threats are identified and addressed quickly
• Supplier performance and SLAs are well managed
• Security operations run smoothly, and stakeholders trust your leadership

More about You

You’re experienced in security operations and know what it takes to keep a business secure on a day-to-day basis. Calm under pressure and confident in a fast-paced environment, you’re hands-on and strategic when needed.

You’ll also have:

• Previous experience in cyber security operations or SOC management
• Strong understanding of incident detection, response, and escalation
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, threat intelligence, and endpoint protection
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience
• Experience managing internal teams and/or third-party suppliers
