Job summary

A-SAFE UK in Halifax, Elland, is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to lead security posture, operations and supplier governance across a mature technology estate including Azure and AWS. This hands-on leadership role covers risk, compliance and security strategy while working on-site five days per week.

You will drive security maturity, embed controls, manage the Microsoft security estate, perform third-party assessments and provide out-of-hours support for critical incidents, ensuring risk

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise across cyber security domains including cloud (Azure/AWS).
• Experience with security tooling and SIEM/SOC platforms, vulnerability scanning and monitoring solutions.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks (e.g., Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001) and practical application.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current security posture and set priorities based on risk.
• Drive change across technical and procedural controls.
• Lead security operations, incident response and supplier security risk assessments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and digital teams to embed security into systems and delivery processes.
• Own and manage cloud security capabilities across Azure and AWS and ensure best-practice configurations.
