Job description

Join us as a Cyber Security Manager, where you'll support the Chief Information Security Office through the delivery of vital projects and the production and presentation of cyber-related metrics. Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of external cyber threat frameworks such as Mitre / NIST, and how they assist in developing our cyber security framework and controls.
  • Understanding of cyber threats, security measures, and experience in identifying, assessing, and tracking cyber risks.
  • Knowledge of principles related to our most critical operating environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating complex deliverables across multiple high-level stakeholders.
  • Experience or working knowledge of the steps and processes needed for effective through-life management of technology.
Valued Skills
  • Project management skills, demonstrating effective delivery of projects against demanding timelines.
  • Background in network security, including segmentation and access controls.
  • Experience in assessing cyber risks and identifying necessary remediation.
  • Good presentation skills and the ability to chair meetings effectively.

This role is based in our Knutsford office.

Purpose of the Role

To serve as the primary liaison between business, technology, and security functions, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, and supporting security risk mitigation.

Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand security requirements and enhance risk management.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize cybersecurity threats, guiding mitigation strategies and communicating findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures aligned with the risk management framework.
  • Manage the implementation, testing, and monitoring of security controls across IT systems.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate employees and promote cybersecurity awareness.
  • Manage complex cybersecurity incidents in collaboration with IT teams and response experts.
  • Identify emerging cybersecurity trends and advocate for adopting new security solutions.
