Job summary

Vallum Associates is seeking a Cyber Security Lead to provide senior technical and strategic expertise across a major smart energy and flexibility programme.

You will focus on security architecture, cyber risk, assessment frameworks and resilience, advising senior governance stakeholders and helping shape security standards across the evolving energy market. This is a senior SME role with emphasis on ISO 27001, CAF, and NIS2.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Information Security management.
• Experience in Security Architecture and cyber security frameworks.
• Significant experience in Cyber Risk assessment and management.
• Experience with CAF and cyber resilience audits within energy.
• Knowledge of NIS/NIS2 and NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework.
• Experience with ISO 27001 audits.
• Strong understanding of UK and international Information Security standards.

Essential Experience & Skills

• 5+ years' experience in Information Security management.
• Strong experience in Security Architecture and cyber security frameworks.
• Significant experience in Cyber Risk assessment and management.
• Strong experience with Cyber Assessment Frameworks (CAF) and cyber resilience audits within the energy industry.
• Extensive knowledge of NIS/NIS2 and the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework.
• Experience conducting or supporting ISO 27001 audits.
• Strong understanding of UK and international Information Security standards.
• Ability to identify, assess and manage complex cyber threats and risks.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, presentation and public-speaking skills.
• Ability to provide credible, independent and authoritative technical guidance.
