A leading company is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to standardise security practices and automate processes. You will collaborate with engineers to roll out new designs and maintain security tools. The role requires strong SOC skills and AWS knowledge. Location: London, United Kingdom (with office locations in Cambridge, Leeds & London)
As a Cyber Security Engineer within the Cyber Security squad, you will contribute to standardising security best practices across Genomics England, leveraging Automation and Configuration as Code. You will work closely with Platform Engineers and Solution Architects to ensure the smooth rollout of new designs and products, and assist with deploying and maintaining security tools. You will configure and deploy security products confidently and possess a strong security mindset, with SOC analyst skills and experience to train others. Additionally, you will automate security processes and uphold AWS best practices across the Engineering Chapter.
Qualifications are not mandatory but AWS, Terraform, or Ansible certifications are advantageous. A certification in AWS Certified Security – Specialty is highly desirable.
Salary from £71,000
