A leading company in genomic healthcare seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to standardise security practices and deploy security tools. The role involves collaboration with Platform Engineers and Solution Architects, requiring strong SOC skills and experience with AWS security services. As a Cyber Security Engineer within the Cyber Security squad, you will contribute to the standardisation of security best practices across Genomics England, using Automation and Configuration as Code to achieve this.
Working closely with Platform Engineers and Solution Architects, you will ensure the fast, smooth rollout of new designs and products, as well as assist with the deployment and maintenance of new security tools. You will configure and deploy security products and be confident in using them.
You should have a strong Security mindset, SOC analyst skills, and experience to train others. You will also automate security processes and ensure AWS best practices are upheld across the Engineering Chapter.
Qualifications such as AWS, Terraform, or Ansible certifications are beneficial. Being Certified in 'AWS Certified Security - Specialty' would be highly desirable.
Salary from £71,000.
