Job summary

Footasylum is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in the UK to join our Information Security team. You will design and implement security across cloud, infrastructure, and applications while embedding security into development and operations.

The role offers hybrid work in Greater Manchester and the opportunity to influence security strategy and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, WAF, and cloud security controls, plus scripting skills in PowerShell,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management and IAM.
• Experience securing cloud and hybrid environments; Azure knowledge favored.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security across cloud, infrastructure, apps and endpoints.
• Develop security standards, controls and architectures; drive improvements.
• Support Zero Trust principles and threat prevention, detection and response.
• Engineer and maintain SIEM, SOAR and monitoring platforms.
• Collaborate with teams to improve threat detection and incident response.
