Job summary

Okta Resourcing is partnering with a Microsoft Partner to hire a Cyber Security Engineer. The role involves hands-on security across cloud and on-prem environments, shaping governance and improving resilience.

You will work on threat detection, incident response and secure cloud/infrastructure designs. The ideal candidate has strong cyber security engineering experience and practical knowledge of Azure, Defender, Sentinel and IAM, with a proactive approach to security improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on cyber security engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and related security technologies.
• Experience securing hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Knowledge of network security, IAM, vulnerability management and IR.
• Experience with security monitoring, threat detection and remediation.
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach to security improvements.
• Experience with Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID and security frameworks is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve security across Microsoft cloud and on-premise environments.
• Identify vulnerabilities, assess security risks and implement remediation measures.
• Strengthen threat detection, security monitoring and incident response capabilities.
• Support the design and delivery of secure cloud, network and infrastructure solutions.
• Improve security governance, policies and technical best practices.
• Identify and address technical debt, improving resilience and operational stability.
• Provide technical guidance on security projects and wider infrastructure improvements.
