Job summary

CyberOne is hiring a Senior Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, secure and support Microsoft security technologies across cloud, identity, endpoints and infrastructure. You will collaborate with Security Operations, Cloud Engineering and Architecture to strengthen controls, automate processes and improve cyber resilience.

The role focuses on Azure security engineering, Defender XDR, Sentinel and related security telemetry, with hybrid working patterns and a London reporting requirement.

Qualifications

• Proven Azure security engineering experience within a large enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing Azure security services across IaaS, PaaS and hybrid environments.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID security (CA, PIM, Identity Protection) and hybrid identity controls.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR across EDR, Identity, Cloud and Office 365.
• Experience designing cloud security architecture, platform hardening and security baselines.
• Experience onboarding and validating telemetry across infrastructure, cloud, application and identity.
• Experience developing KQL queries, analytics rules, automation, and threat hunting content.
• Experience REST APIs, PowerShell, Python, automation, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Microsoft Azure security and Defender XDR.
• Design and support enterprise security controls across Azure and Entra ID.
• Engineer and maintain Microsoft Sentinel capabilities and Defender features.
• Develop security monitoring use cases and threat-hunting content.
• Design secure cloud/hybrid architecture patterns and provide practical guidance to projects.
• Lead platform enhancements, migrations, upgrades and service improvements.
• Build health dashboards and KPI/KRI reporting for Proactive Security.
