Salary – National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £52,400 to £80,600 and London £57,700 to £88,600 pro rata (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

The Security Engineer sits within the Cyber Security product group and supports the platforms, applications and security systems that deliver enterprise security services to the organisation.

What will you be doing?

• Develop, deploy, and sustain a range of dependable, fit-for-purpose, and adaptable enterprise security tools and services
• Support and enhance the tools, processes, and procedures to align with business needs, shared goals, and team priorities
• Strengthen and care for the systems and procedures that safeguard the confidentiality of information across the organisation
• Offer guidance and share security knowledge with the wider team as part of the Security & Service Management activities, including incident response, issue resolution, and supportive risk reduction
• Work closely with Cyber Security colleagues, Programmes & Projects to shape and apply new enterprise security services, practices, and frameworks
• Encourage and support the Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) Product Groups and the wider DTI Security community through ongoing coaching and shared learning

Minimum

• Prior experience in a security engineering role supporting enterprise security services, products, and architectures
• Prior experience in security frameworks such as NIST and CIS, with hands-on involvement in implementing relevant controls and best practices
• Experience in deploying, maintaining, and supporting Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions (e.g., CyberArk, Delinea) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt)
  
  

Essential

• Manage incidents, investigate problems, support patching and release management activities, and oversee product risk resolution and mitigation planning
• Extensive security knowledge with exposure to relevant technical architecture, environments, platforms, and industry practices
• Solid knowledge and practical experience with Information Security principles, tools, processes, and procedures
• Experience in mentoring and developing others to enhance their security knowledge and capabilities
