Job summary

University of Oxford is seeking a Cyber Security Education & Awareness Manager to shape security culture across the institution. You will lead training programmes and targeted campaigns, turning complex risks into practical guidance for about 24,000 staff and 20,000 students.

You will work in a hybrid setting from Central Oxford, coordinating with senior leaders and technical specialists to embed secure behaviours across a large, decentralised organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading education, awareness, or behaviour-change programmes in complex organisations.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles and human-related cyber risks.
• Ability to translate technical information into accessible training and communications.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the University's cyber security education and behaviour-change strategy.
• Translate complex risks into engaging training and campaigns.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, academics, professional services and technical specialists to embed security practices.
• Analyse phishing simulations and engagement data to prioritise activities and measure impact.
• Develop a specialist function and advise senior stakeholders on security culture.
