Job summary

The University of Oxford is recruiting 3 Cyber Security Delivery Partners to work closely with divisional leadership and central Cyber Security teams. This full-time, fixed-term role is based in Oxford with hybrid working (minimum 2 days on site per week). The position is for a 37.5-hour work week, fixed to 31 July 2029, with potential extension.

Part-time and flexible options are welcome. You will translate security strategy into practical delivery plans, coordinate remediation, and support

Qualifications

• Strong experience in cyber security, information security, risk or assurance.
• Experience partnering with business and technology teams in complex organisations.
• Good understanding of cyber risks, governance, controls and compliance.
• Ability to translate security requirements into practical actions and outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• CISSP, CISM or CRISC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main cyber security contact for the division, translating strategy into delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
• Support the implementation of security controls, coordinate remediation activity and manage divisional cyber risks.
• Ensure security is embedded across divisional and technology change.
• Support audits and assurance activity, incident response follow-up and continuous improvement in cyber maturity.

We are looking for Cyber Security Delivery Partners to work closely with divisional leadership, central Cyber Security teams, and the CISO function to deliver cybersecurity priorities across the divisionswithin the University of Oxford.

Location:

Oxford University Offices, 16 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JH with hybrid working possible (minimum 2 days on site per week)

Contract:

Full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed-term to 31 July 2029, with the expectation of extension. Applications are also welcomed from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 30 hours/0.8 FTE) and/or flexibly.

About the role

This role will act as the main cyber security contact for the division, translatingsecurity strategy, policies, and standards into practical delivery plans and measurableoutcomes.Youwill support the implementation of security controls, coordinate remediation activity, manage divisional cyber risks and issues,and ensure security is embedded across divisional and technology change. About you

Youwill build strong relationships with stakeholders across IT, operations, risk, compliance, and divisional leadership, providing practical guidance and oversight to improve division’s (and the departments that sit within them) security posture while enabling divisionalobjectives. The role will also support audits, assurance activity, incident response follow-up, and continuous improvement in cyber maturity. This role will manage the divisions cyber security team/resources on a day-to-day basis.

Strong experience in cyber security, information security, risk, or assurance

Experience partnering with business and technology teams in complex organisations

Good understanding of cyber risks, governance, controls, and compliance

Ability to translate security requirements into practical actions and outcomes

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills

Relevant qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are desirable
