Job summary

The Manchester College, Openshaw Campus, invites applications for a DigiTec Specialist Practitioner - Cyber Security. You will lead on a cyber security curriculum specialism, shape digital resilience strategy, and collaborate with employers to align industry needs with teaching.

The role is based at Openshaw, with a mix of on-site and home-working, 35 hours per week, on a 3-year fixed-term contract. You will develop resources, deliver CPD, and build industry partnerships to advance learners and

Qualifications

  • Degree must be held or equivalent professional level.
  • Current and valid industry specialism qualification.
  • English and maths minimum Level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
  • Professional Body accreditation (within subject specialism) where relevant.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on a specific specialism within a curriculum area.
  • Develop resources and teaching materials reflecting industry best practice.
  • Design and develop curriculum aligned with employer needs for industry relevance.
  • Use technology to enhance the learning environment inside and outside the classroom.
  • Develop internal and external partnerships to disseminate information and enable collaboration.
  • Contribute and develop the specialism to meet local and national skills priorities.
  • Provide specialist CPD for staff to keep practice current.
