Job summary

Morson Group in Manchester is recruiting a Cyber Security Assurance Specialist to strengthen security across OT and cloud platforms within a major transformation programme. You will collaborate with architects, risk owners and senior stakeholders to ensure cyber risks are understood and managed in line with industry best practice.

The role focuses on leading assurance activities, assessing controls against CAF, NIST and ISO standards, and driving audits from planning through remediation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with the NCSC CAF and cyber assurance frameworks.
• Proficiency in cloud security across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Experience operating in OT or critical infrastructure environments.
• Proven track record leading audits from planning through remediation.

Cyber Security Assurance Specialist

£630 p/d | Outside IR35 | 12 Months | Manchester (1 day per week on site)

Join a major cyber transformation programme within a highly regulated environment where you’ll play a key role in strengthening security assurance across critical Operational Technology (OT) and cloud platforms.

This is an opportunity to influence security strategy, challenge technical decisions, and drive assurance activities across some of the organisation’s most business-critical systems. You’ll work directly with architects, engineering teams, risk owners, and senior stakeholders to ensure cyber risks are understood, managed, and aligned to industry best practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading cyber assurance activities across complex OT and cloud environments
• Assessing security controls against NCSC CAF, NIST and ISO standards
• Conducting and supporting internal and external audits
• Providing expert guidance on cyber risk, governance and compliance
• Challenging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive security improvements
• Supporting the evolution of the organisation’s cyber assurance capability

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience working with the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
• Technical cloud security expertise across Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience operating within OT or critical infrastructure environments
