Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Cyber Security Assurance Specialist in Manchester to strengthen assurance across OT and cloud platforms. The role involves influencing security strategy, challenging technical decisions, and driving assurance activities within a regulated environment.

You will work with architects, engineers, risk owners and senior stakeholders to ensure cyber risks are understood and aligned to industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
• Cloud security expertise across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Experience operating within OT or critical infrastructure environments.
• Proven track record leading audits from planning through to remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber assurance activities across OT and cloud environments.

• Conduct and support internal and external audits.

Cyber Security Assurance Specialist

£630 p/d | Outside IR35 | 12 Months | Manchester (1 day per week)

Join a major cyber transformation programme within a highly regulated environment where you'll play a key role in strengthening security assurance across critical Operational Technology (OT) and cloud platforms.

This is an opportunity to influence security strategy, challenge technical decisions, and drive assurance activities across some of the organisation's most business-critical systems. You'll work directly with architects, engineering teams, risk owners, and senior stakeholders to ensure cyber risks are understood, managed, and aligned to industry best practice.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading cyber assurance activities across complex OT and cloud environments
• Assessing security controls against NCSC CAF, NIST and ISO standards
• Conducting and supporting internal and external audits
• Providing expert guidance on cyber risk, governance and compliance
• Challenging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive security improvements
• Supporting the evolution of the organisation's cyber assurance capability
