Job summary

PLANET RECRUITMENT SERVICES LTD is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst in Abingdon to join a managed security services environment. The role focuses on hands-on security operations across internal and client environments, threat investigation, incident response, vulnerability management and security posture improvement.

You will escalate significant incidents, support major incident response, maintain security documentation and drive continuous improvements with the Service Desk and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Experience in MSP, multi-client support, infrastructure or security administrator roles.
• Practical use of security platforms to investigate alerts and improve posture.
• Experience investigating incidents, phishing, malware or account compromise.
• Experience supporting security hardening, vulnerability management and patching.
• Strong troubleshooting across user, endpoint, identity, email, cloud, client configurations.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on operation and improvement of security services across internal and client environments.
• Investigate threats, respond to security escalations and remediate actions.
• Act as security escalation point for Service Desk, Infrastructure, Account Managers and clients.
• Manage vulnerability scans, track remediation, and produce posture reporting.
• Review Microsoft 365 security alerts, Defender, Entra ID and CA recommendations.
• Support MFA, Defender, Intune and endpoint security initiatives.
