Back To Work is partnering with a leading East Midlands manufacturing company to recruit an AI & IT Security Apprentice. This role offers hands-on training in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence within a technology-driven environment, with guidance from experienced professionals to build strong foundations in IT security and digital innovation.

You'll support the team to protect systems and data, learn how AI tools enhance security, and contribute to monitoring, reporting, and security

Responsibilities

• Learn to monitor IT systems and production networks for unusual activity or potential security issues.
• Assist in identifying and reporting risks that could affect manufacturing operations or data security.
• Support the team in responding to security alerts, helping to keep systems running smoothly.
• Help with routine checks and updates to ensure machines, devices, and software meet security standards.
• Assist in managing user accounts and access permissions, including staff working on production systems.
• Contribute to creating and updating security guidelines for both office and factory environments.
• Work with IT and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues.
• Learn about protecting operational technology (OT) and connected devices used in manufacturing.
• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, AI developments, and technology trends affecting industrial systems.
• Assist with the use of AI-powered security tools to help identify patterns, anomalies, and potential cyber threats.
• Support the development and testing of AI-driven automation processes that improve security monitoring and reporting.
• Learn how artificial intelligence can be used to analyse large datasets and help strengthen cybersecurity decision-making.
• Assist in evaluating new AI technologies and digital tools that could improve operational efficiency and security across the business.
