We are seeking individuals who will thrive in this environment. Due to the growing demand for cyber-specific analytical skills in our Cyber broking team, we are recruiting for this Cyber Risk Analyst role.

About The Role

A Cyber Risk Analyst will support our cyber reinsurance broking team in assessing, quantifying, and managing cyber risk exposures using data-driven techniques and models. This role suits someone with an analytical mindset, a keen interest in cyber threats, and an understanding of risk modeling. You will collaborate with brokers, actuaries, and analytics specialists to support risk transfer solutions in the reinsurance market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating cyber risks associated with insurance and reinsurance portfolios.
  • Support cyber catastrophe modeling and scenario analysis for risk aggregation.
  • Conduct assessments of cyber threats and their potential financial impacts.
  • Monitor emerging cyber threats, incidents, and regulatory developments affecting the market.
  • Support industry insights and trend analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Analyze cyber risk accumulation and systemic risk factors.
  • Assist in analyzing cyber exposure data from cedents and clients.
  • Support development of risk appetite frameworks and accumulation controls.
  • Collaborate with actuarial and broking teams to assess cyber risk pricing and reinsurance structures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cyber risk modeling, actuarial work, catastrophe modeling, or exposure management.
  • Familiarity with cyber risk models (e.g., RMS, CyberCube, Cyence).
  • Knowledge of cyber incident trends and their financial impact.
  • Understanding of reinsurance structures and portfolio risk management.
  • Degree in a numerical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk modeling, and financial risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and assess systemic cyber risks.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail for managing large datasets and documenting assessments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with brokers, actuaries, and modeling teams.
