Job summary

You'll research threats, write detection logic, tune alerts for quality, and communicate security tradeoffs across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field.
• Strong programming ability and willingness to learn.
• Familiar with threat modelling and security tradeoffs.
• Comfort with version control and editors.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and systems to guard Jane Street’s assets.
• Perform investigations to locate sources of issues.
• Research threats, hunt for indicators, and tune detections.
• Communicate security decisions clearly to colleagues.
• Lead security best practices across the firm.
