Job summary

Jane Street is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for our London office to help protect employees, data, and infrastructure from internet threats. The role involves developing and using monitoring tools, and leading incident response and remediation when threats are found.

You will join a team of programmers and security experts who stay ahead of trends, applying a methodical approach to investigations and fixing security issues while communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong programming curiosity and capability.
• Knowledge of threat modeling and ability to communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Experience with version control systems and common development editors.
• Fluent in English and able to discuss cybersecurity concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and use monitoring tools to guard the firm.
• Handle incident response and remediation when threats are found.
• Advocate cybersecurity best practices and educate colleagues.
• Communicate decisions and tradeoffs clearly to internal stakeholders.
