Cyber Security training courses in Birmingham seeks a Cyber Defence Manager to lead the cyber defence and information security function within a hybrid team. You will coach a small group of information security professionals and drive performance across security vendors, incident response, and governance.

The role demands hands-on leadership, pragmatic risk-based decision making and close collaboration with technology and business teams to embed security across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a Cyber Security/Information Security function within a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, incident response and security governance.
• Experience developing and implementing security policies, controls and improvement programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across levels.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and PCI-DSS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the organisation's cyber defence and information security capability.
• Manage and coach a small team of Information Security professionals.
• Drive effective performance of multiple security vendor partners.
• Own and enhance security incident response processes and recovery activities.
• Lead security investigations and oversee remediation.
• Promote a strong security culture through awareness programmes and stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats and cybersecurity best practices.
