Job summary

Airbus Protect Limited is seeking a Cyber Defence Engineer 2nd/3rd Line to join the Newport team. The role involves supporting SOC activities, patch management, reporting, and health checks of systems. The candidate should have a strong networking background and ideally MoD exposure, with experience in SOC tooling and patching to deadlines.

The position is onsite in Newport with limited work-from-home options. Security clearance expectations and a proactive, multi-tasking mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Experienced cyber engineer with strong networking background and MoD contract exposure preferred.
• Experience carrying out scheduled maintenance and patching to deadlines.
• Previous SOC systems maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support SOC Engineers & Analyst activity and change & release management.
• Ensure maintenance and patching is approved and delivered within KPI/SLA’s.
• Produce reports on SLA Performance, System Performance and availability.
• Monitor audit and security logs and handle incidents across zones.
