Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular procedures in a high- pace operating room. You will scrub, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the broader surgical team.

Ideal candidates have recent CVOR experience, proficiency in high-acuity cases, and eligibility for certification within the specified timeframe. This full-time role is based at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program, or equivalent training.
• Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three years.
• Able to take assigned specialty call in Level II Trauma Facility or Quaternary Center.

Responsibilities

• Support system-wide surgical operations and safety plans.
• Ensure sterilization criteria are met and maintain a sterile, safe environment.
• Prepare the operating room and instruments, assist with sterile processing, and support surgeons within ORT scope of practice.
• Identify and respond to emergency situations, assist with room turnover and cleaning.
• Participate in training and mentoring, providing at least one educational offering per year.
