Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 City and Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair.
  • Experience in diagnostics and using computers.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities will include:

  • Observing, recognising, and reporting vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure
  • Examining vehicles completely and reporting on their condition, safety, reliability, and performance (MOT)
  • Protecting all vehicles under repair against damage and inspecting each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair
  • Attending recognised courses of instruction as required and assisting in the training of apprentices
  • Seeking permission before fitting parts to customers' vehicles that have not been previously authorised and returning parts for warranty and customer inspection
  • Ensuring all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork, and electronic documentation are fully completed and signed off

The working rota for this role is Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm.

  • A minimum Level 3 City and Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair
  • Experience in diagnostics and using computers
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A strong team player mentality
  • The ability to work to a very high standard
