A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well-established Subsidiary, for a Global Leader, in the Cutting Tool & Abrasives Industry.
Following significant investment, from PFERD TOOLS, in leading Round Shank Cutting Tool brands Silmax & Tusa; there is an opportunity to shape the future for PFERD TOOLS, in the UK Metal Cutting Sector.
You will be working as part of the external sales team, providing Application and Technical Engineering Support. Ultimately, you will be working to provide Value Added Solutions to the customer, assist in the development of the UK strategy for this sector and support the Team in achieving their targets.
Location:
Depending on the locality of the successful candidate, this could be a National or Regional Role.
Skills:
Flexibility and willingness to travel is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will have technical experience in conventional and CNC machining processes, including but not limited to, Solid Milling, Solid Drilling, Tapping, Special & Multifunction Tools and Micro Tooling Solutions. Sales experience, and customer knowledge, would be advantageous.
You will bring with you a good knowledge of Round Shank Application, and competencies with Microsoft Applications
As this role offers a degree of autonomy, you should be driven, hardworking, and self-motivated, but critically able to view the bigger picture and work strongly in a Team environment.
In addition, you will be a strong communicator who enjoys solving customer problems by providing technical solutions, with one eye on commercial demands.
Key Responsibilities
• Using a variety of skills to gain knowledge of the customers requirements, and provide solid, value added, solutions
• Provide customers with sound advice on their tooling requirements and highlight the ways in which our products can enhance their manufacturing processes.
• Actively seek to increase our client database.
• Updating our CRM system with data, and project status, and have confidence in discussing applications with our manufacturing support Teams in Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
• Be a Brand Ambassador for PFERD TOOLS, as a tooling partner
• Liaison with the internal support team to address any client issues or concerns.
• Operate within the company procedures and policies to ensure compliance with the quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Undertake training as required to ensure the upkeep of your own professional development; to expand your knowledge both within your field but also of the company (e.g. product knowledge)
• All other duties as reasonably required to support the wider objective of the role.
