Job summary

Morrisons is offering an Industrial Placement in Bradford designed to develop future leaders in one of the UK's largest food manufacturers. You will join a team responsible for buying raw materials and supporting our manufacturing sites, including meats, produce, and flowers.

You will work with supply chain partners or customers to understand the end-to-end buying process, using market insights to propose new business or refine products, and to meet customer demand and growth targets.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a relevant degree in business, supply chain or related field.
• Able to interpret data and understand financial information.
• Driven and self-motivated; able to meet KPIs.
• Strong problem-solving and networking skills.
• Passionate about food and partnerships.

Responsibilities

Job Overview and Opportunities:

• On the Myton corporate placement , you will be working in a team that buys raw materials for our manufacturing sites which could include meats and all varieties of fruit, vegetables, fish and even flowers, this includes gaining an understanding of seasonal variations and working with the team to ensure we plan and buy to our customers demands
• During the placement you will also be working either directly with our supply chain partners or with our customers and gaining an understanding of the end to end buying process of sourcing, sales and planning, commercial finance and new product development, that aligns with our growth plans and that of our customers, by looking at market insights and proposing new business or reviewing current products to meet demands
