Cut and Crease Machine Operator

Location: Leicester

Salary: £45,711

Due to continued growth and success, our client is seeking a Cut and Crease 1st Minder to join their team. They are a leading company in the packaging industry with multiple sites across the UK.

Working Hours: 3 shifts per week, including a mix of days and nights.

The Role

1. Work as part of a team and maintain flexibility to meet business needs.
2. Set and operate all die-cutting presses within the department.
3. Understand and accurately interpret working instructions.
4. Share best practices and knowledge within the team.
5. Optimize machine performance while maintaining quality standards.
6. Perform first-off passes and relevant checks to ensure quality throughout the run.
7. Adhere to SOPs and quality policies.
8. Carry out routine maintenance as outlined in the Asset Care Program.
9. Engage with the 5S program and support continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Provide cover during holidays, absences, and peak periods.
11. Manage transfer of work into and out of the department.
12. Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
13. Be flexible to assist in other areas with appropriate training.

The Person

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating a Bobst die-cutting and creasing machine.
