You will coordinate day-to-day activities, liaise with customers, carriers and internal departments, monitor performance against KPIs, analyse data, maintain records, and contribute to continuous improvements while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within customs, haulage, transport or logistics is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and business management systems
  • A data-driven approach with the ability to analyse operational data and produce reports
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Customs & Haulage Operations Coordinator, Northumberland Salary: Flexible (depending on experience) My client is looking for an experienced Customs & Haulage Operations Coordinator to join their small but incredibly busy team and support the efficient management of their transport, logistics and customs operations. This is a key role within the business, suited to someone with a strong background in haulage, customs, transport or logistics (or a real interest in) who can confidently coordinate operational activities, manage data, and ensure the smooth flow of information between customers, suppliers, carriers and internal teams. The successful candidate will be highly organised, IT savvy and data driven, with the ability to analyse information, identify trends and contribute to continuous operational improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within a customs, haulage and logistics environment.
