Job summary

SPAR Wimbourne is seeking a Customer Team Member to support store management and deliver a great customer experience. You will work across shifts, handle tills, assist with stock, and help drive sales in a fast-paced convenience setting.

The role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy in cash handling, and the ability to work both in a team and independently while following store policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
• Reliably follows instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
• Some understanding of legislative responsibilities of a retail environment and the skills to assist with adherence.
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward.
• Experience of using a ‘Challenge 25’ policy desirable.
• Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Answer questions about products and services and help customers find items.
• Process purchases at tills accurately and efficiently.
• Upsell products and highlight offers to maximise sales.
• Maintain stock, check deliveries, stock shelves, and ensure freshness and dates.
• Complete additional tasks such as price changes, displays, and promotions.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
