Job summary

SPAR Barnby Dun is seeking a Customer Team Member to support the store management team and provide excellent customer service. The role includes 8-hour shifts on a rota, with more hours available for sickness or holiday cover. You will help maximise sales and profitability while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role in retail preferred.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, follows instructions.
• Understanding of retail legislation responsibilities.
• Able to contribute ideas for customer service and sales.
• Experience with Challenge 25 policy desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, welcoming manner.
• Answer product/service inquiries and help locate items.
• Process purchases at tills accurately and efficiently.
• Upsell products and highlight multi-buy offers.
• Stock shelves, check deliveries, maintain clean sales floor.
• Complete tasks like date checking and price changes.
• Adhere to company policies and processes.
