Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is hiring a SPAR Customer Team Member for Quay Road. The role is 16 hours on a rota, with evenings and weekends shifts to support store management and enhance customer experience. You’ll help maximise sales while following store policies, ensuring great service and accurate till operations.

Experience in retail or customer service is preferred; full training will be provided. Includes a generous benefits package and staff discounts across SPAR stores.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Reliably follows instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
• Some understanding of retail policies and how to adhere to them.
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering good customer service and driving sales.
• Cash handling experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Answering inquiries about products and services and helping customers find items.
• Processing purchases at tills accurately and efficiently with a positive service.
• Upselling products and highlighting offers to maximise store sales.
• Stocking shelves, checking deliveries, and keeping the sales floor clean and organized.
• Assisting with price changes, promotions, and stock checks as required.
