Job Description: Customer Team Member at Co-op

Working pattern:

  1. 3-4 varied shifts over 7 days, including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing), and weekends. Shifts to be discussed at interview.

Full, paid training provided. You can apply for this role using your mobile device (no CV needed!).

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team member at Co-op, as it requires working before 6am or after 10pm.

About the role

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op. As a Customer Team Member, you’ll be part of a friendly team dedicated to helping our customers. Your responsibilities include providing excellent service at the tills and on the shop floor, re-stocking shelves, and cleaning up spillages.

What you'll do
  1. Provide friendly and thoughtful service, prioritizing customer needs, responding to queries, and promoting Co-op products and Membership.
  2. Support your colleagues to solve problems and improve the shopping experience.
  3. Ensure store safety and legality, including stock management and checking prices, dates, and temperatures.
  4. Assist with introducing new products and services, sharing experiences with colleagues to foster learning.
  5. Support the local community by participating in activities and events.
