Job summary

Co-op Digital is seeking a Customer Team Leader in a busy Co-op store, responsible for guiding a small team across varied shifts. You’ll ensure smooth daily operations, stock management, and exceptional customer service while engaging with the local community and promoting Co-op membership.

Role includes hands-on shop floor work, coaching colleagues, and supporting in-store services such as post office or bakery where applicable. A friendly, flexible leader with retail flair will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria: 18+ to authorise age-related sales.
• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.

Customer Team Leader

Location: Water Street , Pen Y Groes, LL54 6LR

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 30 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (5.30am opening), afternoons, late evenings (11pm closing) including at least 1 weekend shift, to be discussed at interview

As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve you working in our post office or bakery or supporting online services and our home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
