Job Description:

What you’ll be doing

• Act as the solution designer for a domain or service platform and provide solution overview and familiarisation to operational support teams.
• Create statement of works for appropriate internal/external design and delivery team’s engagement.
• Translate customer visions and business needs into actionable solution design requirements, including cost assessments (CAPEX/OPEX), dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies to support business opportunities and service delivery.
• Offer subject matter expertise to stakeholders, shaping service changes, qualifying resource requirements, and addressing complex customer requests such as RFIs, CCNs, or solution proposals throughout the design lifecycle.
• Develop enterprise and solution architecture documentation, including ‘as-is,’ ‘to-be,’ and transitional states, addressing business and technology needs while meeting stakeholder requirements.

Skills You'll Need

• A good technical understanding of Network routing & switching and Security/Firewalls. Most likely Cisco/Fortinet/Juniper, probably in the past life a CCNP.
• Demonstrate good relationship and stakeholder management skills to operate effectively across boundaries to solve customer issues.
• Demonstrable, clear, and immediate capability to define the most complex undefined solutions which will deliver positive business impact.
• Manage levels of ambiguity when dealing with customer needs and business strategy.
• Show good commercial acumen.
