Job summary

The Co-operative Bank plc in Trowbridge is seeking a part-time Customer Service Assistant for a 12-month maternity cover. You’ll help a diverse range of customers in a friendly, efficient way, handle cash accurately and support daily admin in a local branch.

Hours vary by week (Week 1: Mon–Fri 08:45–14:45; Week 2: Mon–Fri 08:45–14:45 plus Sat 08:45–12:30 with a day off in lieu). The role suits someone who enjoys speaking with people and delivering great service within our community-focused bank.

Qualifications

• Current experience in a customer focused role (e.g. retail, hospitality or call centre).
• Experience of interacting directly with customers and providing a great service on a daily basis.
• Good attention to detail with experience of processing customer details or data accurately.

Job description

We’re looking for a friendly, helpful person to join the team in our Trowbridge branch. The role is at the heart of the local community, supporting a wide range of customers, in a welcoming environment, where every day is different. This is a 12 month maternity cover.

This is a part time role working:

Week 1 – Monday to Fri 8:45am – 2:45pm

Week 2 – Monday to Friday 8:45am – 2:45pm day plus Saturday 8:45 – 12:30 (with a day off in lieu for Saturday)

This role will suit someone who’s at ease talking to lots of different people and able to support their needs in a caring, friendly and efficient manner. It involves finding solutions for our customers, keeping up to date with our services, policies and procedures as well as staying on top of admin. Dealing with cash transactions carefully and accurately are among its key responsibilities, as well as taking telephone calls for our greater Customer Service area.

For this role you’ll need to have:
